Air pollution is mainly caused by dust. A collection of extremely small dust particles in the air exists as flying dust, settling dust or haze. This is the main cause of direct effects on humans, eye, nose, skin or digestive problems, asthma, allergies and lung-related diseases.
METHODS OF HANDLING POPULAR DUST
DRY TREATMENT METHOD
Dust settling chamber: Dust settling chamber is a box-shaped space with a large cross-section to allow the airflow velocity to be very small, so that the dust particles have enough time to fall to the bottom under the effect of gravity and being kept
Inertial type dust filter: Change the direction of gas flow continuously and repeatedly by obstructing different shapes. When the air flow is moving, dust with great force and inertia will keep the original movement direction and hit an obstacle and will be trapped or lose kinetic energy and drop to the bottom of the device.
Horizontal type centrifugal dust filter: The air carrying dust enters the vortex moving device by the deflectors. The centrifugal force exerts an effect on the dust particles and pushes them away from the core and touches the wall of the stern tube and escapes through the slit to fall into the focus. And clean air follows the speaker duct with the deflector out.
Vertical centrifugal dust filter: In cyclone, centrifugal force occurs when the turbulent air flows in a tangent to the cylindrical shell. Under the effect of centrifugal force, dust particles are thrown out of the air stream into the cyclone wall, the rest along with the gas flow to the bottom of the funnel. The air that reaches the bottom of the funnel releases particles that are pushed upwards and continues to spin, escaping out through the middle tube.
Dust collector: When the dust-carrying air flows through the dust filter, the dust particles reach the fibers of the filter material and there is interaction between dust and the filter material. dust is retained under the impact of inertial impact on the sieve.
Electrostatic precipitator: the filtration is performed under the effect of an electric field. In this case, positive and negative ions are formed. When the gas stream carrying dust enters the dust particles will be charged. As a result, the dust particle is attracted towards the opposite electrodes and the charge falls into the storage hopper.
WET TREATMENT METHODS
Spray chamber or empty gas washer: Water is sprayed from the top down, the airflow is directed from the bottom up. It is also possible to spray water on all four sides and guide the air across. When there is contact between dust-carrying gas stream and water droplets, dust particles will be trapped and discharged from the equipment in the form of sludge.
Dust removal device with padded layer of water-filled hollow material (scrubber tower or Scrubber): The hollow material is watered by water, air flow leads from the bottom up or across the material layer. When there is contact between the dust-carrying exhaust stream and the wet surface of the hollow material, dust particles will be trapped on the surface of the material then the dust is washed away and discharged from the device in the form of sludge.
Filtering device (air wash) with disc containing effervescent water: Supply water into the disc to be punched in an adequate amount to create a layer of water of appropriate height. The airflow from the bottom up through the perforated disc causes the water to foam. Dust in the air comes into contact with the surface of the water bubbles and is trapped and then flows into the container.
Dust purifier (gas wash) with a movable spherical particle layer: Passes air from the bottom up through wet spherical particles and these spherical particles can move freely in the water gas mixture inside. device. Then the dust particles will attach to the water layer on the spherical particles and be trapped. When the balls collide and rub against each other, they will wash away the dust on the surface.
Filter equipment for water spray by VENTURI tube: The dust-containing exhaust gas goes through the venturi tube and then the air will move in a tangential motion in the cylinder body and go out. At the place where the venturi tube is fitted with a sprinkler, when exhaust gas passes at high velocity, it will swept away the water and form fine water droplets. Dust in the exhaust gas will inertially impact the water droplets and be trapped on the surface of the water droplets. Then when the water particles carrying dust move twisted pipe in the cylinder body will be pressed into the wall and slide down the exhaust pipe.
